The books referred to in the title are “WAR IS A RACKET” by GENERAL SMEDLEY D. BUTLER and
“THE HIGH PRIESTS OF WAR” by THE LATE MICHAEL COLLINS PIPER.

U.S. Marine Corps General Smedley D. Butler was a man of few words.
In his 58 page book “War is a Racket”, General Butler, born in 1881, explains exactly “who” benefits from war.

The following is text from the back cover of his famous book “War is a Racket”:

“War is a Racket” is Marine General, Smedley Butler’s classic treatise on why wars are conducted, who profits from them, and who pays the price. Few people are as a qualified as General Butler to advance the argument encapsulated in his book’s sensational title. When “War is a Racket” was first published in 1935, Butler was the most decorated American soldier of his time. He had lead several successful military operations in the Caribbean and in Central America, as well as in Europe during the First World War. Despite his success and his heroic status, however, Butler came away from these experiences with a deeply troubled view of both the purpose and the results of warfare.”

One quote, out of many worthy quotes, is especially relevant to the present very risky environment in which President Trump has placed our nation:

“Yes, they are getting ready for another war. Why shouldn’t they? It pays high dividends. But what does it profit the men who are killed? What does it profit their mothers and sisters, their wives and their sweethearts? What does it profit their children?”

The Republican Party is a “war mongering” party. Look at the past 75 years since the USA joined the United Nations and we were told World War II was the war ” to end all wars”. If there has been, since 1945, any anti-war sentiment that came out of the White House, it was usually occupied by a Democrat.

Remember President KENNEDY and his wish to get out of Viet Nam. Look what happened to him.

Now we have a President who is tweeting all over the world messages to our nation’s major adversaries, tempting them to respond. I personally believe, as evil as are most of our adversaries, they do have half a brain, and will probably not respond to our President’s threats.

I recently wrote an article “Stupidity or Treason” in which I cited the following statistics related to Americans killed in the Korean and Vietnam Wars:

TOTAL COMBAT RELATED DEATHS OF MEMBERS OF YOUR FAMILIES DUE TO WHAT COULD BE CONSIDERED TREASON BY OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS: 94,914.

This link will bring you to the text of Marine General Butler’s classic book “War is a Racket”, as classic as the admonition from our nation’s first President George Washington to “beware of foreign entanglements.”

And here we have the text of the “The High Priests of War…The Secret History of How America’s “Neo-Conservative” Trotskyites Came to Power and Orchestrated the war Against Iraq as the First Step in Their Drive for Global Empire” by the late Michael Collins Piper.

Emails above PDFs to President Trump, under cover of your own personal letter. Use all social media to get this message across the country. Maybe people will think twice when they pull the lever for their favorite candidate in the next Presidential election IF we have one.
